Roll up, roll up, take your place in the queue.

Fortune's wheel has a space for you.

Up, down and around you'll go.

Reaching high, falling low.

 

You win some, you lose some, it's always changing.

Lady Luck loves re-arranging.

One minute fool, the next a queen.

Swapping gem for jellybean.

So, don't get too comfortable, lazy or smug,

for next thing you know, you're a squishable bug.

And try not to fret when you're down on your knees,

for your luck will soon turn sure as tides of the seas.

 

Be wary of worshiping, those, sat on high,

or scorning the fallen, with beam in eye.

We all are the same, in the things we feel,

and none are exempt from the turn of the wheel.
